A new and spacious grill hut can be found in the beautiful Yndisskógin forest above the campsite.
The Borg swimming pool is located by the campsite, ideal for cooling off on hot summer days.
The school has a playground for children along with a batting pitch that ensures unlimited fun.
A 9-hole frisbee golf course is located in Yndisskógin above the campsite.
Convenient shower facilities are available for those staying at the campsite.
The area is well-equipped with electricity, so getting electricity is usually not a problem.
Laundry facilities with hot and cold water are located at the service building.
The campsite has benches and tables in several places that guests can use.

Whether you’re looking for culture, food, entertainment or relaxation, there’s plenty to explore nearby. Here are some exciting destinations to make your stay even better.
Visit Sólheimar where the cultural festival is in full swing every Saturday throughout the summer. There is always something new to see and experience. There is also a great café.
Borg Campsite is a popular base for golfers. The golf courses in Hraunborgir, Kiðjabergur and Öndverðarnes are close by for those who want to play a round of golf while camping.
We encourage our guests to check out the new downtown area in Selfoss. The new downtown area has a variety of restaurants, cafes and shops. Selfoss also has grocery stores such as Bónus, Krónuna and Nettó.
Minni-Borgir restaurant is located just a short walk from the campsite. If you love wood-fire baked pizzas, we recommend checking out Þrastalund, which some say has the best wood-fire baked pizzas in Iceland.
At Friðheimar you can get tomato soup and freshly baked bread along with other delicacies in a cozy greenhouse environment.
We highly recommend taking the kids on an ice cream tour to the farm Efstadalur.

We have an age limit of 20. Those under 20 must be accompanied by an adult.

Our campsite opens on May 1st and closes on September 30th.
No, unfortunately we do not accept the Camping Card.
There is no grill at the campsite itself, but there is a charcoal grill that can be used in the fire pit above the campsite. Guests must bring their own charcoal.
The campsite is located in Borg in the Grímsnes and Grafningshreppur districts, next to the swimming pool, school and community center.
Yes, there are plenty of electrical outlets at our campsite. Make sure to select electric when booking your pitch if you need access to electricity.
No, unfortunately there is no access to a kitchen at the campsite.
Yes, there is access to a washing machine at the campsite.
Yes, access to a shower is included in the price.
Yes, there is access to a hairdryer where the shower is located.
Yes, dogs are allowed on the campsite, but they must be kept on a leash. Please make sure to pick up after them.
The Borg swimming pool is located next to the campsite. The new Laugarás Lagoon is also nearby.
